The long awaited (unless your into piracy ;)) official release for Windows Vista service pack 1 has finally arrived. It seems that it can be acquired via Microsoft’s Website in a stand alone download at a hefty 435MB or via Windows update.

I’ve chosen to download the stand alone version for multiple installation and backup reasons and will hopefully have it installed on my HP Pavilion dv9500 notebook very soon. Lets hope that all this promised performance increases are true and we might just find a very efficient and productive operating system on our hands…..

Am i really talking about a Microsoft product…….. Me == shocked

Just came across this game after reading the web comic Penny Arcade. The platform is the PSP and… well, i’ll let the video do the talking. It seems to me as if this game has been solely directed at people who take LSD!

As mentioned at Engadget today, the latest PSP firmware network update allows Skype on your PSP-2000 (aka, PSP Slim & Lite) to be a reality. However, those who live in Japan are going to have to wait. Skype has had a massive influence on the popularity of VoIP in the past couple of years and this is another step in the direction of mobile VoIP becoming more and more desirable.(Of course, you will need to fork out on a £15 PSP headset, but you knew that already, didn’t you?……. )  

I wish that this information was still relevant to me but unfortunately, due to financial issues I had to sell my PSP in order to increase my funds due to bad budgeting through my first semester at University…..

Ah well, maybe some day I’ll be reunited with my beloved PSP…..*tear*

Scientology! Looks like Anonymous’ movements are gathering pace, sorry for the 1-dimensional blog posts but I felt this video was great!

Following on from my previous post, the Scientology pledge form has become public and further justifies the intervention (to what extent we cannot yet measure) of the Anonymous group:

Scientology aka the religion for the mentally unstable??

After the recent video release by self-proclaimed hacking group Anonymous, warning Scientology of their plans to end the cult religion, I decided I’d try and delve a bit deeper and increase my own understanding of the situation and what Scientology is REALLY about.It didn’t take me long to find what I thought was an eery yet eye-opening brief history of Scientology and some incidents in it’s not so apparent past. A quick Google search led me to what I can only describe as a shocking short web-documentary analysing some home truths about Scientology and what really goes on behind the scenes. I don’t want to elaborate any more on this however I will strongly recommend anyone who is not entirely sure of what has gone in the Scientology’s past to view this. Hollywood Star Tom Cruise has long been a significant figure in the uprising of the religion, even more so in recent years.

I myself will be keeping a close eye on what Anonymous are doing and planning over coming weeks/months/years. This is clearly a religion that is unstable and blurs the lines of truth too much.In other news, my first semester exams are over and second semester lectures begin this Monday. Let the fun begin….. again.
